Abstract :
To minimize the practice of plagiarism needed a method that can analyze the level of words, the similaritas of which is by using the method of winnowing. This research aims to build a website-based applications using the winnowing algorithm is able to identify plagiarism in students ' thesis. In the search algorithm hash value using equation winnowing rolling hash. The hash value is a numeric value that is formed from the ASCII (American Standard Code for Information Interchange) of each character. The results of these similarity measurement research concluded that the smaller the percentage rate in common thesis that was tested, the small degree of resemblance. If the percentage <=30% then the thesis is not included in the category of plagiarism, but if the results of testing on the larger thesis >30%, then the thesis has a high degree of similarity and such action is considered plagiarism. This study comes with a description of the percentage of similarity and categories of plagiarism.
