Abstract :
Air Preheater is one of the supporting components of the boiler, the performance of Air Preheater effect on boiler efficiency. Therefore Air Preheater treatment is needed to keep the efficiency level good to keep boiler efficiency stable. Air leakage factor and contamination on the element of Air Preheater effect on the efficiency due to not maximum heat transfer process in Air Preheater. One of the treatment by way of Overhoul to know which element in Air Preheater can still be used or not. In this study the calculation of the efficiency of Air Preheater using Energy Balance method at the time before Overhoul and after Overhoul. From the results of the calculation of the Air Preheater after a total repair of 21.16%, while for air leakage after acceleration of 2.52%. Air Preheater Efficiency and air leakage both approach commissioning data.
