Abstract :
Temulawak (Curcuma xanthorrhiza) is one of nine types of plants seeded from a POM Ditjen has many benefits as a remedy. One factor that greatly influences the growth and production plants are pest and disease attacks. Pests and diseases in large amounts can lead to decreased production and losses. Lack of knowledge belonging to farmers in conducting diagnoses as well as pest and disease attacks the organism bully crops, farmers in the village of Kadipiro Jumapolo should be consulted to extension officers around. But the lack of extension officers into power factor of the difficulty of getting information about pests and diseases temulawak. In this writing discuss about building the kinds of expert system for diagnosing diseases of medicinal plants by applying methods of temulawak certainty factor into the application. Certainty factor method is used to determine the results and reliable solutions with value certainty factor. Application of expert system based android was built because the current use of android apps is growing very fast and rapidly. Writing aims to produce an application consulting about pests and diseases of medicinal plants, which can be in temulawak access by farmers with more easily without having to meet the extension officers.
