Abstract :
The synthesis of FeSe superconductors has been carried out through mechanical integration and solid reaction processes. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of temperature variations and variations in the composition of Fe stoichiometry on the structural properties and superconductivity of FeSe, so that it can be used as one of the iron-based superconductor candidates. The variation of the stoichiometric composition used is FexSe (x = 1; 1,025; 1.05). The raw materials used contain purity of Fe (99.0%) and Se (99.0%). The method used is powder metallurgical method with a combination of mechanics using High Energy Milling (HEM) for 5 hours, then packing (Packing) in SS304 tube and then compacting with hydraulic press and the last synthesis process is sintering using a furnace with holding time 6 hour. Characterization carried out was X-Ray Diffraction (XRD) test, Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM-EDS) test and Crytogenic test. In the synthesis of Fe1,025, variations in sintering temperature have been carried out to obtain the optimal sintering temperature. The optimal temperature obtained is 845oC with the number of tetragonal phases (?-FeSe) reaching 86.06%, then re-synthesizing with variations in the composition of FexSe with x = 1; 1.05.
