Abstract :
This study discusses the sales forecasting application for PT. Sinar Terang Inti, which has been difficult to forecast sales in the next period, because the next sales forecast period is only using the previous sales data without any deep calculations and is manual. For this reason it is necessary to make an application that can predict the sale of the next period automatically with the calculation of the method that has been tested. Sales forecasting applications that will be made based on the Website and using the PHP programming language, for data processing calculations using the Single Exponential Smoothing (SES) method in forecasting science, and to find the accuracy of forecast using Mean Absolute Deviation (MAD). The data used is sales data of PT. Sinar Terang Inti from June 2017 to May 2018 for 12 months. Sales data will be calculated by the SES method, the results of the SES calculation will be calculated the accuracy of the forecast with MAD to find the smallest error value that will be the final forecast result to be used. With this forecasting application is expected to get results that are close to the actual situation so that it can be a reference for PT. Sinar Terang Inti in preparing the needs of goods in the coming period.
