Abstract :
In general, electricity generation in Indonesia in calculating efficiency is only based on thermodynamic law 1 without considering thermodynamic law II. Therefore, the aim of this research is to evaluate the Sebalang PLTU using thermodynamic law I and thermodynamic law II. By using mass equilibrium, energi and exergy equations, all equipment can be analyzed individually on the cycle. With this method, it can be seen that the main components in the Sebalang power plant can be evaluated. The results of this study that the boiler is a component that has a lot of decreased performance. The value of boiler exergy destruction is 176.646.02 kJ/s greater than the other main components so as to give effect to the changes in the efficiency of the Sebalang power plant.
