Abstract :
Soybean plants can be attacked by various plant-disturbing organisms. This
problem will occur in reducing the quality and quantity of crops and the success
of soybean crop yields. Lack of knowledge and information to overcome the
problem of plant disturbing organisms is one reason for the loss of farmers. To
facilitate farmers in detecting soybean disease, an expert system will be
implemented into a web-based application using Forward Chaining inference
method and calculation of the results of diagnosis with the Certainty Factor
method. Certainty Factor method is used to determine the results by calculating
the Certainty Factor value. Applications are designed with UML diagrams, PHP
programming languages and MySQL databases so as to produce output in
accordance with the analysis and purpose of this final project. The result of this
final project is the identification of gardening soybean disease based on the
symptoms of the disease experienced by the plant as well as providing a way of
controlling which can later be used to reduce the risk of damage to plants.
