Abstract :
In handling electric power violations, PT. PLN (Persero) Tanjung Karang
has conducted an operation named Energy Usage Control (P2TL). One of electric
power violations that occurs is electricity theft. The effort that has been exerted
by PT. PLN (Persero) Tanjung Karang in handling electric power violations is
conducting meter reading monitoring towards unreasonable electric power
consumption of the customers. However, it is not effective and does take a long
time to monitor electric power consumption of a large number of customers in a
certain area. Therefore, it requires an application to find out and determine the
specific customers who performed electric power violation. This application is a
web-based application which detects data anomalies of electric power
consumption of customers by using Density-based spatial clustering of
applications with noise (DBSCAN) method. The detection on data anomalies
used DBSCAN method by grouping customers based on the proximity of electric
power consumption pattern in a certain of time. This application testing used
electric power consumption data of R1 grade customer with power of 1300V from
PT. PLN (Persero) Tanjung Karang that results in data of a group of customers
which is electricity theft indicated and a group of customers with normal
consumption.
