Abstract :
Institute for Research and Community Service (LPPM) is an organization engaged in the field of IT research, which is part of STT-PLN. One of the activities of LPPM is the management of Intellectual Property Rights (HKI). At present the business processes that are running in the HKI filing activities, especially for patents, copyrights and brands, are still carried out directly, namely officers and applicants conducting meetings for the collection of documents and registration forms.With such a process, of course, will cause its own impact. Risks that can be caused is the possibility of missing data, difficult data search over time and also increase patent filing files. The solution of the problem is to make the application system HKI management to facilitate officers and applicant in the process of registration HKI registration. The system design method used in this paper is Waterfall method and use UML to model the system needs. The results of this study is how the system is running can be developed again to be better through analysis and system design is done so that it can produce a good system.
