Abstract :
The green building concept in the building is to reduce temperature rise
and climate change so as to reduce environmental damage and global warming.
The transfer of the function of a building such as a green roof as the application
of a green building will cause changes in the load or strength of the roof
structure on the building. In this final project case study will analyze the
structure of the 24th floor of the Arumaya Residence Apartment where the area
of the 24th floor which was previously a roof area will be converted into a roof
garden. As a result of the conversion of the 24th floor area to a roof garden
area, the structure under the floor is not strong enough to withstand additional
loads. So it is necessary to strengthen the structure, either by increasing the
dimensions or by coating the structure with Carbon Fiber Reinforced Polymer
(CFRP). Structural analysis is carried out with the help of a computer program,
where the existing structure is analyzed first for the additional load.
The results of the analysis show that the beam structure is strong enough
to withstand the additional load on the 24th floor. Meanwhile, the column
structure of the 23rd floor, namely the K3 and K4 columns is not strong enough
to withstand the ultimate load where the difference between the nominal load
and the ultimate load of each column is 1063,965 KN and 457.252. KN. The
structure is strengthened by adding the dimensions of the column cross-section
and the longitudinal reinforcement of the column. From the results of the
analysis, it was found that the additional dimensions of Column K3 from a size
of 250 mm x 250 mm were changed to a size of 350 mm x 350 mm and the
amount of longitudinal reinforcement 4D16 to 4D16 + 8D12. Column K5 from
a size of 250 mm x 450 mm was changed to a size of 350 mm x 450 mm and
the number of longitudinal reinforcement 6D16 becomes 6D16 + 4D12.
