Abstract :
Work in construction projects is very complex, in order to be more effective, it
takes tools, namely heavy equipment, especially tower cranes. Tower cranes are
the main aids used for vertical and horizontal transfer of materials with a range
according to their height and radius. Thus, work can be achieved more easily in
a relatively shorter time. In this study, it was conducted to take into account the
productivity value of tower cranes that contain how the cycle time and
production rate of tower cranes, as well as efforts to optimize tower cranes and
increase work productivity on projects. Observations were made of one of the
crane towers on the silk natural Skyhouse Project which focuses on shearwall
work. The goal is to find out the amount of productivity of towercrane which
contains the cycle time of tower crane, productivity of work seen from the
production of tower cranes, and efforts to make tower cranes work more
optimally. From this study obtained the productivity of tower cranes for
shearwall work is divided into 3 jobs including shearwall looping is 943 kg /
minute., installation of formwork 607.8140 kg / minute, casting work 38.03 kg /
minute. And obtained an average productivity value of 106.4061 kg / minute in
addition to the operational cost of tower crane of 843,164.00 / hour.
