Abstract :
Roads as infrastructure facilities play an important role in the transportation
sector and various fields of life, both in the fields of economy, education, tourism
development, health, socio-culture and others. Based on data from the Bekasi
City Central Statistics Agency, the population based on the results of SP2020 is
2.54 million people with the total area of Bekasi City reaching 210.49 km2. Most
of the sub-districts in Bekasi City have a high population density. The analysis
to be carried out is based on road damage that causes discomfort and insecurity
for road users. In determining the level of damage, the Pavemanet Condition
Index (PCI) method and the Highways Method are used. By visual observation,
the measured data is in the form of the dimensions of the damage area and the
volume of vehicles crossing the analyzed road. The length of the road to be
analyzed is 1km and the road area is 5 m2 divided into 10 segments with a
segment area of 500 m². From the analysis carried out, it was found that the level
of road damage on the Sriamur village highway with the PCI method got a
number of 27.9 with the value of the damage condition being bad. Meanwhile,
the bina marga method gets a score of 5.2 and is included in the priority scale
requiring a periodic maintenance program. Of the two methods, the Sriamur
highway is a road with bad damage conditions with a priority scale requiring
regular road maintenance and handling solutions can be carried out with a
handling strategy with crack closure, surface treatment, surface patching
according to the type of damage.
