Abstract :
Buton asphalt is a natural asphalt found in Indonesia and is used to improve
road repairs. CPHMA has a low stability value in compaction using room
temperature. The addition of rubber tire powder waste to CPHMA aims to
determine the effect of added materials on and the effect of compaction
temperature on marshall characteristics. Variations in addition of rubber
recycling powder used are 0%, 5% and 10%. And the compaction temperature
is 30oC, 60oC, 90oC, 120oC and 150oC. The analysis results obtained for the
stability value with 0% added material variations at temperatures of 150oC,
namely: 1536,182 Kg. On variations of 5% added material at temperatures of:
150oC, namely: 821.222 Kg and on variations of 10% added material at a
temperature of: 150oC namely: 671,969 Kg. From the results of the stability
value obtained, the stability value decreases along with the increase in the
variety of added materials and does not meet the specifications of Highways. It
is hoped that further research will pay attention to the additional materials used
and the processing method of the added materials used.
