Abstract :
The use of asphalt with polymer modification has become a trend in recent times. This is what makes
more and more research on asphalt with a mixture of polymer materials, because with the addition of
polymer materials as much as 3-6 percent can improve the quality of the asphalt. Styrofoam is one of
the polymer materials that is easy to find in everyday life and is also very easy to obtain both in the
form of processed and waste, in addition to using Styrofoam in this study also applies ceramic tile ash
filler in the mixture, because the filler is formed from a mixture of materials that contains silica so
that it can be used as a cavity filler and also strengthens the mixture. The variations used in this study
were 3% for Styrofoam and 1%, 2%, 3%, and 4% for ceramic tiles. To determine the strength of the
asphalt mixture, Marshall testing was carried out by reviewing the Flow Value, Density VMA, VFA,
VIM, stability and MQ and carried out the Marshall Imerson test by immersion in a water bath with
a temperature of 60oC for 24 hours. From the results of research using KAO of 7.2% obtained by the
previous Marshall test. The results were obtained that all variations met the Flow, Density, VMA,
VFA, VIM, stability and MQ values according to the bina marga 2018 specifications. In the Marshall
Immersion test for immersion for 30 minutes the maximum stability value was 1571.30 and for
immersion for 24 hours, the maximum stability value was 1459.40, the durability value in the
Styrofoam mixture and also ceramic tile ash was 90.1%, 95.52%, 93.27%, 92.60%, 91%
