Abstract :
The existence of the Bogor - Sukabumi Double Track Development Project has
resulted in an increase in traffic congestion around the project site. This is due
to a shift in traffic that causes vehicle density, especially at peak hours. In
addition, during the construction period, traffic will be affected by heavy
vehicles coming in and out of the project as well as the placement of heavy
equipment that requires land to support the smooth running of construction
activities, causing increased travel time due to a decrease in speed caused by
vehicle queues that occur. The study was conducted by taking primary data in
the form of number of trips (pcu/hour) and road inventory data affected by the
construction of the Bogor Sukabumi Double Track Project, while secondary
data in the form of population data and the growth rate of vehicle traffic at the
relevant agencies. Data processing is carried out using the "four step models"
method with analysis on the existing period, construction period, operational
period until the next 5 years after the building operates by providing mitigation
and handling impacts due to the construction of the Bogor Sukabumi Double
Track Project through management and engineering. traffic that is rated
appropriately to minimize poor traffic performance.
