Abstract :
Infrastructure development is currently growing very rapidly, for
example in the construction of roads, bridges, buildings and so on. Until now,
most of the infrastructure development in Indonesia uses concrete as a
construction material. In this study, latex material was used as an added
material from the total weight of cement. This study aims to determine the
compressive strength, split tensile strength and absorption of each addition of
latex from the amount of cement. The percentage of the addition of latex usedis
fixed at 0.75% for each variation. And in the addition of bendrat wire as an
added material of fine aggregate, the variations used include 2.5%, 5%, 7.5%
and 10%. The testwas carried out at the age of 7 days, 14 days and 28 days for
compressive strength and 28days for absorption. The results of this study
indicate that the addition of a mixture of latex and wire bendrat can increase the
compressive strength and tensile strength of normal concrete. The results of the
compressive strength produced at the age of 28 consecutive days are 25.01 MPa,
25.946 MPa, 26.32 MPa, 27.64 MPa, 27.72 MPa, 25.66MPa. As for the split
tensile strength, normal concrete is 2.524 MPa, 2.642 MPa, 2.713 MPa, 2.878
MPa, 2.902 MPa, 2.831 MPa. The absorption is 0.328%, 0.332%, 0.485%,
0.725% and 0.492%. From these results, the highest compressive strength value
was found in variation 5 with the addition of 7.5% bendrat wire and 0.75%latex
from the totalweight of fine aggregate with a compressive strength of 27.72 MPa.
Meanwhile, the highest split tensile strength is in variation 5 with the addition
of 7.5% the addition of bendrat wire and 0.75% latex with a value of 2.902 MPa
