Abstract :
Carbide welding waste is one of the wastes that is considered useless. Carbide
welding waste material which is quite easy to find in welding workshops. With
efforts to utilize waste and create new innovations. This can be done by using
carbide welding waste as a filler added in the AC-BC mixture. All of these
studies refer to the 2018 Bina Marga specifications. The research was
conducted to determine the effect of using carbide welding waste on the ACBC filler mixture during the 30 minute mashall test and 24 hour mashall
immersion. The variations used are 0%, 10%, 15%. 20%, 25%, 30%. The
stability results obtained are 2639.93kg ; 2688.87kg ; 2792.82kg ; 2761.49kg
;2698.68kg ;2584.26kg. the durability results obtained are 91.68% each;
93.07%; 93.73%; 92.49%; 91.28%; 85.70% where the 30% variation does not
meet the requirements. The results of VIM that meet the specifications are in
variations of 0% (4.02); 10% (3.01); 20%(3.07);25%(3.23);30%(3.11).
Therefore, the optimum level of addition of carbide welding waste filler for
AC-BC asphalt mixture filler added using 15% carbide welding waste
substitution.
