Abstract :
The problem that often arises in everyday life is the accumulation of
waste around us, especially the use of LDPE crackle plastic. With an effort to
reduce plastic waste, LDPE can be recycled. LDPE crackle plastic has a low
density (Low Density) causing crackle plastic to receive traction or stress. So that
it can be used in the use of LDPE plastic waste and zeolite stone as a substitute
for the Laston AC ? BC mixture. All of these studies refer to the 2018 Bina Marga
General Specifications. The research was conducted to determine the effect of
using a mixture of LDPE crackle plastic and Zeolite stone on the Laston AC-BC
mixture when the marshall test was 30 minutes and the marshall immersion was
24 hours. The variation used is 0%; 2.5%; 5%; 7.5%; 10% LDPE crackle and
25% Zeolite. The results of the 30 minute immersion stability obtained in each
variation were 2741.01kg; 2667.6 kg ; 2728.0kg ; 2948.68kg ; 2760.85kg. The
durability results obtained in each variation 1-4 are 91.45%; 92.18% ; 92.10% ;
90.53% have met the specifications 90% and variation 5 is 87.85% which does
not meet the specifications 90%. The results of VIM that meet the specifications
of 3-5 are only at a variation of 5% (4.98); 7.5% (4.91) and 10% (4.73).
Therefore, the optimum level of addition of crackle plastic for AC-BC asphalt
mixture using 25% Zeolite stone substitution is 7.5%.
