Abstract :
Pulau Tinggi is a small island located in South Bangka Regency which has a power generation system operated by a Diesel Power Plant (PLTD). The Pulau Tinggi PLTD system has difficulty in distributing fuel, one of the reasons behind this research, therefore this research will simulate the Hybrid Power Plant (PLTH) system for PLTD with fossil fuels with PLTBm, and analyze the location from the side. . technically and economically using the HOMER software. After the simulation is done, the results are feasible to operate from a technical point of view, with the electrical energy generated of 47,990 kWh/year. The loading value for this hybrid system is 52.9% from PLTBm and 47.1% from PLTD, the ratio of fuel consumption is 18.117:8,563 L/year. the simulation results from the economic side, the Net Present Cost (NPC) of the PLTH system is lower than the existing PLTD system, namely Rp. 3,190,351,000, and the Levelized Cost of Energy (LCOE) of the PLTH system also received lower yields. Based on the existing PLTD, it is Rp. 5,142.46/kWh.
