Abstract :
Analysis of grounding research on Solar Power Generating panels conducted at ITPLN Jakarta. In grounding, Solar Power Generating uses a grounding grid or plate system with 4 rods connected in parallel. The dimensions of the grid or plate used are 10 meters long and 6 meters wide which are planted under the Solar Power Generating system with a depth of 1.5 meters from the ground surface. This grounding system is planted in clay type soil where the characteristics of this clay have a specific resistance of 100 ? . This study analyzes the optimization of the grounding system by comparing the results of measurements and calculations with the General Electrical Installation Requirements 2000 standard on grounding, where the grounding standard based on the General Electrical Installation Requirements is 5 ?. In the grounding calculation using the grid or plate method, the grounding resistance value is 0.203902 ?, while for the grounding calculation after paralleling, the grounding value is 0.096683 ?. After conducting research, there are several factors that affect the value of grounding resistance, including the measurement distance between the electrodes and the condition of the ground at the time of measurement. Grounding systems with high resistance values can be overcome by changing the circuit to parallel, because changing the circuit to parallel can reduce the value of grounding resistance.
