Abstract :
Substation is one of the places to flow energy from the generator to the consumer. In the substation there is equipment that supports its performance, one of which is a power breaker (PMT). The device functions as a breaker and reconnection of the load current under normal or abnormal conditions. The breaker must be regularly maintained, its maintenance is also its maintenance and maintenance. Contact resistance is one of the tests. This test is carried out to determine the resistance value of the PMT contacts according to the standard. A high resistance value affects the power loss, because the power loss is the square of the current multiplied by the resistance of the contact. This study was conducted to analyze its effect on power loss and energy loss by comparing the value of contact resistance in 2020 and 2021. The results of the calculation of the highest power loss in 2020 phase S = 2.478 Watt or 0.002478 kW, while for power losses the highest low, namely in the T phase = 2.435 Watt or 0.002435 kW. The results of the calculation of the highest power loss in 2021 phase R = 2.004 Watt or 0.002004 kW. While the lowest power loss is phase T = 0.9950 or 0.009950 kW. The results of the calculation of energy loss assuming a time of 1 year (365 days x 24 hours), the highest in 2020 is in the S phase of 21,704 kWh, while the lowest is in the T phase of 21,332 kWh. The results of the calculation of the highest energy loss in 2021 are in phase R, which is 17,555 kWh, while the lowest is in phase T, which is 8,718 kWh
