Abstract :
In the development of general transformation in Indonesia, it is very influential on people's lives because it can facilitate traveling both in the city and outside the city. In the competition between general transformations in the State of Indonesia, PT KAI increases comfort by adding train facilities in electrical facilities with different class levels. This study aims to look at the energy consumption of each class tested, namely the executive, economy and mixed classes. The data collection process is carried out on the distribution panel in each carriage by measuring the R, S and T phases on the types of K1, M1, P1, K3, KMP3 and B wagons. For power outlet loads, assumptions are made with the use of only 3 hours of travel. Each class on the train has a number of lengths of each carriage, namely executive 10 carriages, mixed 11 and economy 10 carriages. With an intercity trip from Jakarta to Surabaya, the executive travel time is 9 hours with an electrical energy consumption of 1468 kWh, for the mixed class with a travel time of 10 hours, the energy consumed is 1556 kWh and the economy class is 1207 kWh with a travel time of 12 hours. . The size of the generator carriages in each class, namely executive and mixed, has the same capacity of 500 kVa and economy of 300 kVa. Based on the generating capacity of each class and also the length of the platform, each class can accommodate 4 passenger carriages for executive class, 4 passenger carriages for economy class and for mixed class if added executive carriages are 3 and 3 carriages if added economy carriages
