Abstract :
Along with population growth which continues to increase every year in North Sumatra, especially in Siantar, of course, the need for electrical energy will continue to increase, therefore to support this, a stable and reliable supply of electrical power is needed. The Boho area of Siantar Regency is one of the potential areas to build a PLTMH. This is due to several factors, one of which is the factor of sufficient water availability. The topography of this area makes this area have a head which is an important component in PLTMH.
The design of the Boho PLTMH uses a very strategic land. The buildings that are designed are dams, canals, rapid pipes. And the selection of a more precise turbine is expected to support the PLTMH power generation.
The results of this study indicate that the Boho PLTMH has a reliable discharge of 1.65 m3/second. With a power generated by the PLTMH Boho is 45.981 W, with the number of houses receiving a new power supply of 102 houses.
