Abstract :
Single Exponential Smoothing forecasting method is a periodic forecast model
(Time Series) used in this study. The problem that will be discussed in this study is how
to predict sales of beauty mask products for the next month using data from the last 5
years. With the Single Exponential Smoothing method and see the smallest RMSE
results. The results of data analysis using the Single Exponential Smoothing method
using alpha values of 0.3, 0.4, 0.5 obtained the RMSE accuracy value for the Kyau Peel
Off Mask Classic Series product 20gr alpha value of 0.3 with the smallest RMSE
accuracy value of 18,514, for the LEA Gloria mask product 20gr the value alpha 0.3
with the smallest RMSE accuracy value of 16,919, and for the Bemahira Beauty Face
Mask 15gr product the value of 0.3 with the smallest RMSE accuracy value of 21,163.
Based on the tests carried out, it was found that the Single Exponential Smoothing
method on the 3 products above got the smallest RMSE value at an alpha value of 0,3.
