Abstract :
Plants Improper handling in eradicating pests and diseases on plants can of course
harm the Kiosk owner. Incorrect identification of the type of pest or disease results in
an inaccurate selection of treatment efforts, because pests are classified into several
groups or types. To help the owner of the Green Kiosk avoid continuous losses due to
incorrect identification of diseases and pests on orchids, the researchers created an
expert system website to produce accurate diagnoses. In this system using the Certainty
Factor (CF) calculation method, starting with designing a system based on the
acquisition of knowledge obtained from pediatricians, then proceeding with building a
knowledge base and assigning CF values to each symptom associated with a child's
disease by giving a range of values 0 and 1. The results obtained are in the form of
expert work in diagnosing pests and diseases of lunar orchids, a list of questions, and
rules. The implementation results are tested to ensure that the application meets user
needs. The test was carried out using a blackbox. The trial was also carried out by
asking the expert to diagnose two cases of orchid plants and comparing the results of
the diagnosis between the expert and the application. Trials were also carried out by
