Abstract :
By the increasing of economic growth, the need or purchase power of the people towards the electricity burden is increasing as well. This is seen by the increasing use of eletronic equipments. On the other hand, by the increasing use of electronic equipments, there is a bad impact of infulence on the electricity system. This is caused by unbalanced or non linear loads that make the emergence of harmonics on the electricity system. By having the harmonics, the quality of the distributed power decreases and causes damage doe to excessive heat in eletrical equipment. The value of THD (Total Harmonic Distortion) which is on customers can be read through AMR (Automatic Meter Reading) with MK6 type which can be recorded in realtime. The reading result shows that the voltage THD and current THD values start at 14:00 to 17:00 WIB on PT Palapa Prima customers have exceeded the IEEE 519-1992 standard, where the standard harmonic voltage is 5% and the current harmonic standard is 12%. Harmonic also causes derating a distribution transformer of 8.03%.
