Abstract :
Plants are living things that generally have stems, roots, and leaves which can produce
oxygen and can absorb carbon dioxide gas making the air cleaner. In line with the
development of technology, many ornamental plant farmers still take care of their
ornamental plants with manual methods. Some problems in caring ornamental plants are
caused by negligence of cultivators who do not pay attention to the importance of caring
for ornamental plants so that they are susceptible to nuisance organisms such as weeds.
It takes a monitoring system for automatic detection and watering of pesticides to
facilitate the work of ornamental plant farmers. Therefore, a prototype and web-based
application were built to monitor automatic detection using ultrasonic sensors. Data from
ultrasonic weed detection sensors are processed by NodeMCU ESP8266 using the
Adaptive Linear Neuron method in order to get the percentage of the presence or absence
of weeds in ornamental plants. The results of this study are a tool and monitoring of the
Design of Automatic Weed Detection and Pesticide Spraying using the Adaptive Linear
Neuron method. With the Ultrasonic sensor on the device, the data obtained from each
sensor result will be sent via the NodeMCU ESP8266 and will be displayed via the
thingspeak web.
