Abstract :
The implementation of a construction project is limited by cost, quality and time. Achieving success in a project requires good management with controls that can influence the final results of a project. Good control can reduce the risk of delays and cost overruns. The purpose of this study is to analyze the activities carried out in the process of controlling the costs of the construction project for the construction of the Maluku Regional Police Office Building and Public Facilities, to analyze the risk factors that cause cost overruns in controlling the construction project costs of the Maluku Regional Police Office Building and Public Facilities. carried out in controlling costs to reduce project cost overruns.The research was conducted on the Maluku Regional Police Office Building and Public Facilities Construction Project. The method used in this study is a quantitative method, for data collection using research questionnaires and analyzed using SPSS statistical methods to test the reliability or validity of research data.The results of the study show that the dominant causes of risk factors in cost control to reduce cost overrun are not controlling project plans and their realization in real-time, not recording/booking expenses and income, not creating an integrated cloud to collect and display reports, not making efficiency use of human resources and project operations, not managing cash flow.
