Abstract :
The handling of construction quality problems in government projects has been
regulated in the guidelines in the form of the Regulation of the Minister of Public
Works Number: 04/PRT/M/2009 concerning the Quality Management System (QMS).
This regulation is intended to provide guidelines for implementing organizational
management that leads to planning, implementing, controlling, maintaining and
improving for the achievement of documented and integrated QMS-based performance
in accordance with the Quality Policy established within the Ministry of Public Works
and Public Housing. Quality Policy in an effort to ensure the availability of reliable
infrastructure for the community with efficient and effective principles and to improve
the quality of activities on an ongoing basis. a serious problem for the construction
industry, especially for contractors as development implementers, is quality control and
supervision. this is very complex and is often found in the implementation process,
including the lack of monitoring from a Quality Control during the planning,
implementation and completion of a masonry work for irrigation networks in the Bulu
Cenrana area, Sidrap Regency, South Sulawesi. In the construction of irrigation canals
in accordance with standards, the use of materials must comply with existing standards,
namely 1:4 (1 cement and 4 sand) for foundation construction and 1:3 (1 cement and 3
sand) for foundation plastering. In order to achieve Construction Quality Control and
Supervision for irrigation networks in the Bulu Cenrana area, Sidrap Regency, South
Sulawesi.
