Abstract :
The need for electrical energy sources is increasing as the population of the population increases
is a problem because fossil energy sources are much reduced in availability every year. Indonesia
is a canyon that has a great opportunity to utilize renewable alternative energy that can be
converted into electrical energy, such as solar energy or known as solar power plants (PLTS).
One that can be developed is solar power plants on fishing boats as a substitute for diesel fuel
and environmentally friendly. This study was conducted to determine the amount of power
generated, the large capacity of the components used, and the performance value of the solar
power plant system designed on fishing boats. This design also uses the Pvsyst application as a
design simulation. Data collection was carried out directly on a ship with a roof area of 19.52
m2 and a daily load of 13,832 Wh / day located at Pantai Mutiara, North Jakarta. In designing
solar power plants for 1 unit of the ship, using 12 solar modules with a capacity of 250 Wp and
48 Volt 120 Ah batteries of 7 pieces, 1 piece of 2000 Watt inverter, and 1 piece Solar Charge
Controller. The design results obtained a 3000 Wp solar capacity with a performance ratio of
85% for manual calculations and 79% for PVsyst simulation.
