Abstract :
The reliability of the electric power system can be seen from the continuity of electric power
service. Although the reliability of an energy system can be defined as the ability of the
system to provide power of satisfactory quality. The purpose of this study is to analyze the
results of the calculation of the reliability index values of SAIDI, SAIFI and CAIDI and the
results of the comparison of the reliability index values obtained through the Section
Technique Method with SPLN 86-2: 1986. The impact of individual equipment constraints
is systematically identified by analyzing what happened. on the system if there is a problem
with the installed equipment. Every equipment failure is analyzed from all load points. In
this study, the results of the calculation of the reliability index of the West City ULP
distribution system were found within the organizational scope of PT PLN (PERSERO) UP3
PEKANBARU. By using the Section Technique method, the SAIDI value is 24,339
hours/year, the SAIFI value is 8.1127 times/year and the last and the CAIDI value is 6
hours/interference.
