Abstract :
In human life today, electrical energy has become a primary need. Almost all of the equipment that we use today uses electrical energy, even though some vehicles have used electrical energy as a substitute for fuel. To meet electricity needs, it begins with a generator which will then distribute the voltage and current generated by the generator through the transmission system and then channeled to distribution until the electric current reaches consumers. Hydropower is a power plant with water as the working medium. Transmission is a medium used to transfer electrical energy from the center of the power plant, the transmission system to the load center (consumer). Substation is a sub-system of the electric power distribution system. A substation is a substation that is intended to facilitate loading maneuvers from one feeder to another. This research was conducted with the aim of knowing the effect of the existing conditions (shrinkage) on the 20kV distribution system before and after the GI LANNA substation. This research method with data collection is done using the ETAP (Electric Transient and Analysis Program) application. ETAP is software that helps or supports electric power systems, and is processed qualitatively and quantitatively. The data that is carried out qualitatively is data that is processed by descriptive explanation. Meanwhile, quantitatively, the data obtained is processed by doing mathematical calculations based on the related theory.
