Abstract :
In the distribution of electricity at substations, distribution substations, switching substations, especially the 20 kV network, disturbances often occur. The impact of the corona on a 20 kV cubicle is the occurrence of unstable voltages, power losses and insulation failures which can cause a decrease in the quality of electricity distribution to consumers. This study aims to find out what can cause the presence of corona in the cubicle, to determine the power losses caused by the corona and to find out how to overcome corona interference on the cubicle. The research method used in this study is quantitative descriptive, this research method is a method by analyzing and using data taken at PT. Haleyora Power, so that to process it, analysis and calculations are needed from the data that has been obtained. In this test, five feeders were used as samples, namely the Scorpio feeder, the Paddle feeder and the Libra feeder and the Lempuyang feeder and the Weather feeder. With the data of humidity and temperature parameters, the corona emergence voltage can be calculated. In the Scorpio feeder isolation test, the insulation resistance value was 263.2 G? at the R-T test point, and in the Paddle feeder isolation test, the insulation resistance value was 245.2 G? at the R-S test point, in the Libra feeder isolation test, the insulation resistance value was 242. .1 G? at the S-T test point, in the Lempuyang feeder isolation test, the insulation resistance value was 124.2 M? at the S-G test point, in the Weather feeder isolation test, the insulation resistance value was 242.1 M? at the R-S test point. In the calculation to get the voltage value of the emergence of the corona, the first thing is to look for the value of the density factor and then look for the value of the critical voltage, and this can be seen from the breakdown voltage test by getting the voltage value of the emergence of the corona of 8.95 kV while the working voltage from PLN is 11, 56 kV.
