Abstract :
The use of a power transformer in a power system outline consists of, the transformer raising of generator voltage at the center of the electricity into the transmission voltage. Transmission reducer Voltage Transformer to primary distribution in substation. Transformer distribution in substation that lowers the medium voltage into low voltage. Partial discharge is not the cause, but it is a symptom of the failure of the insulation system in the electrical distribution equipment. Partial discharge detection indicates a problem in the isolation system. The main purpose of partial discharge detection is to ascertain whether the quality of insulation meets expectations or not. This research will discuss partial discharge detection using acoustic method with AE sensor (acoustic sensor) and HFCT sensor. The tool used is the PowerPD-TP500A. The partial discharge test was performed on a 60MVA 150Kv power transformer, that is transformer 3 GI Cikupa, transformer 1 GIS AGP, transformer 1 GIS Denayasa. Based on the test results obtained that the signal is said to be a partial discharge signal if the two sensors detect the signal, the detected signal occurs constantly in a very fast time, as in the results of the Cikupa GI transformer 3 is obtained 3ms gap time. Gap time from the detected signal is always the same (constant) of each signal. The partial discharge signal is affected by the gap time in the detected signal. The magnitude or strength of the signal does not affect the partial discharge tendency.
