Abstract :
Load imbalances in the electric power distribution system often occur and the cause of the occurrence is due to the distribution of loads that were initially evenly distributed but due to the unequal ignition timing of these loads causing load imbalances that have an impact on the supply of electricity. This R, S, T phase imbalance will cause current to flow in the transformer neutral conductor, causing losses (shrinkage) in the transformer, namely shrinkage due to the presence of a neutral in the transformer neutral conductor and losses in the transformer (copper losses). In this study, the method of direct observation in the field is carried out where measurements of the load during the day (LWBP) and at night (WBP) in the working area of PT. PLN ULP Rajapolah are carried out and quantitative methods which require calculations with existing formulas. to determine the results of this study. The data obtained were taken at 2 substations where for comparison with each other. On the first transformer with the UNINDO brand with a capacity of 250 kVA and on the second transformer with the TRAFINDO brand with a capacity of 250 kVA. From the results of the calculation of the comparison data of the percentage of unbalance of the first transformer for day and night loads, namely 14,133%: 3.77% and the comparison data for the percentage of unbalance of the transformer for both day and night loads, which is 2%: 40,33%. While the results of losses due to currents in the neutral conductor are in the first transformer which is 0.345 kW and the second transformer is 0.232 kW.
