Abstract :
A protection system for medium-voltage overhead line (SUTM) 20 kV is very important, because the protection system can prevent interference in the feeder. Protection that works well and can determine the reliability of a electricity network. One of the protection systems that must be considered is the overcurrent relay (OCR) and the ground fault relay (GFR). It is necessary to evaluate the relay, because in the WBO09 feeder there is a work failure on the ground fault relay (GFR) which causes widespread outages. The previous protection relay settings on the WBO 09 feeder on the 2nd recloser did not work, because the protection relay settings were not in accordance with the amount of short circuit fault current that occurred. Therefore, it is necessary to reset the protection relay in accordance with the calculation of the short-circuit fault current. After knowing the maximum short-circuit fault current, it can be used as a reference in determining the setting value to be used. The results of the short-circuit current calculation for the evaluation of the coordination on the recloser 1 setting on the OCR TMS relay are 0.17 Iset 380A GFR TMS is 0, 19 Iset 130A. on the recloser 2 setting on the OCR TMS relay of 0.08 Iset 300A GFR TMS is 0.10 Iset 100A.
