Abstract :
The angle of inclination of the solar panel is a determining factor in the reception of
radiation on the amount of aporism, so that it will have an impact on the output power of
the solar panel. To maximize the intensity of the sun received by the solar panels, the
optimization of the system design requires the most appropriate angle of inclination of
the solar panels to receive the highest solar radiation. This research was conducted to
determine the highest irradiation to changes in the angle of inclination of solar panels
located at the Institute of Technology - PLN by using PV Syst Software. The research
method used in this study is in the form of observation and experimental methods, namely
direct testing of how effective an experimental variable is, namely the angle of inclination
that is changed with certain variations, starting from 0? to 65? with a difference of
variation of every 5?, then the data from the results direct testing was obtained at the best
angle of 35? then the experiment was compared using the pv syst software. The results
obtained in the simulation using the software are getting a different angle of inclination
in each period. The slope angle is 30? to 35 for April to September with the irradiation
obtained is 973 kWh/m2, the slope angle is 0? to 10? for October to March with the
irradiation obtained is 854 kWh/m2, while the angle is 854 kWh/m2. slope 10? to 13? for
the year with the radiation obtained is 1769 kWh/m2
