Abstract :
In this digital era, electrical energy is very important to meet people's needs. Some disturbances occur, such as the distribution transformer overload disturbance that occurred at UP3 Pondok Kopi-PT. PLN (Persero). This overload disturbance is a condition where the load on the transformer has exceeded 80% of its capacity. There are 3 methods that can be done to overcome the problem of overload, namely by inserting the transformer, breaking the load and uprating the transformer. The research aims to find out how best to overcome distribution transformers that are overloaded and what is the percentage value of loading on distribution transformers when they are overloaded and when they are not overloaded. This study uses a comparative quantitative method by calculating the percentage of loading with the data obtained and then analyzing and finding which method is the best and most efficient to overcome overload disturbances in the distribution transformer KD122. The results of this study indicate that the calculation analysis of all methods can be done. But the best method to overcome the problem of overloading the KD122 transformer is using the uprating method because it is easy to do, even though it is expensive from a financial point of view, but from a time and land efficiency perspective, this method is better. The result of the percentage of loading on the distribution transformer at night when it is overloaded is 82.8%. When it is not overloaded, the percentage of the load is 52.6%
