Abstract :
Geothermal Power Plant (PLTP) Kamojang is one of the power plants that utilize renewable energy that is geothermal steam. In operation Kamojang PLTP requires
a performance target to be achieved that affects the reliability of the plant. Reliability and readiness of the plant to be one of the important parameters in determining the achievement of reliability on the plant. The reliability of the power plant can be seen from the system's ability to operate in either stand-by or operating conditions. The criticality index is a measure of reliability expressed in the magnitude of probability. The criticality level of an apparatus can be determined by the number of disturbances or generating events. This is because of the disturbance or damage to existing equipment in the PLTP, to improve the reliability
of PLTP Kamojang assess the equipment criticality index based on 7 factors.This study aims to calculate the criticality index of geothermal power plants in PT. PGE (Pertamina Geothermal Energy) Unit 5 Kamojang. The criticality index calculation uses MPI (Maintenance Priority Index) with the method used quantitatively which is described descriptively so that the problems above are numbers. Based on the
results of calculations that have been done, obtained MPI value to determine the value of criticality index equipment on the system. From the results of calculations that have been carried out based on the formula standard, the critical system is the Generator with criticality value of 355.206. With such criticality results can be determined what maintenance should be done on each equipment.
