Abstract :
At the PT.PLN (Persero) UP3 Makassar Selatan office, there is one feeder that often experiences interference, namely the malewang feeder. Where the cause of the electricity distribution disturbance is caused by the South Makassar UP3 area which has a lot of trees and wild animals and even some disturbances that are not known to cause, therefore it is necessary to install a recloser to narrow the disturbance area, minimize the location of blackouts and speed up the determination of the fault location point. to prevent the number of lost kWh and prevent the many losses experienced by PT. PLN (Persero) UP3 South Makassar. The results of the calculation of large losses and kwh that are not channeled before installation, the value of kwh that is not channeled is 47902,782 kwh which if added up in rupiah is Rp. 63.684.727. while after the installation, the value of the kwh that is not channeled is 2479.57 kwh which if added up in the form of rupiah is Rp. 3.373.079. Then before the installation, the duration of time for network recovery is 35 minutes in September 2021, 140 minutes in October 2021 and 28 minutes for November 2021. Meanwhile, after the installation of the network recovery time, precisely in April 2022 for 5 minutes, in May 2022 for 4 minutes and in June 2022 for 1 minute. So the installation of the recloser in the malewang feeder has an impact in terms of finding the location of the disturbance, narrowing the disturbance area, minimizing the location of the blackout and speeding up the determination of the fault location point.
