Abstract :
Partial discharge is damage that occurs in an insulation either on the surface of the insulation or in an insulation, if left without action for a long period of time partial discharge can damage the surface or inside an insulation so that it will cause insulation failure and cause flash over. Because this disturbance cannot be directly detected through the human senses, this disturbance can be detected with a tool called Ultra TEV Plus2 (Transient Earth Voltage). Ultra TEV Plus2 is an equipment that can detect Partial Discharge (PD Detector) with the help of sensors which will be recorded through decibel sound intensity (dB) which serves to detect and test Partial Discharge on electrical equipment including CT (Current Transformer), PT (Potensial Transformer). Busbar, Load Break Switch, Circuit Breaker, Cable etc. This research was conducted at distribution substations of the type of concrete that were tested using 6 samples of substations, namely 3 substations with partial discharge indication and 3 normal substations/no partial discharge indication. Based on the results of this study, the process of partial discharge tends to occur in CBO type cubicles because in this type of cubicle there are many cross sections/electrical equipment such as CT transformer, PT transformer, PMT etc.
