Abstract :
When distributing electric power, even though the load on the transformer is attempted
to be balanced in each phase there is an equal current, but an imbalance in the load may
occur. This is due to the time when the load is not used simultaneously which causes the
phases to experience different loading values. The influence of the load imbalance makes
losses due to neutral current in the neutral conductor and towards the ground being large.
The effect will cause the efficiency value of a transformer to decrease resulting in a
reduced service life of a transformer. In addition, the quality in distributing electrical
energy has decreased. Based on the results of research that has been analyzed using
manual calculations, it is found that the load imbalance when the WBP is higher occurs
at night. where on 19-03-2022 at 18:00 WIB the highest percentage value of load
imbalance was obtained at the RBC-074 Substation Transformer of 26.533% along with
the lowest percentage value of transformer efficiency of 86.671%. As for the value of the
loss of neutral current in the neutral conductor and that flows to the ground, it reaches
4.148% and 9.179%, which are the highest values. As for the lowest percentage value of
imbalance on 16-03-2022 at 09:00 WIB, it is 18.966%.
