Abstract :
PT Kereta Commuter Indonesia is a company specialized in mass transportation based on electric railway. It should be noted that nearly everyday this mass railway transportation ois highly preferred by the mass, especially in the urban areas like JABODETABEK. Considering the matter, for the safety of the costumers using the service, PT Kereta Commuter Indonesisa has to take into account the safety of equipment installed on the electric train. To achive that safety, it has to be based on a good electricalsystem installation design. A good electrical installation design must comply with K3 and PUIL standart. Therefore, the whole installation equipment on the railway can run in a good condition, safe, and according to the standards so that the hazard or faults that may arise can be minimized. This thesis will examine how to design motor drive installation on an electric railway in accordance with PUIL and K3.
