Abstract :
Indonesia is located on the equator so that it has a tropical climate, countries with
tropical climates have more sunlight than countries other than tropical. Indonesia has
an average of 4.8 kWh/m^2 of solar radiation a day so that there is very abundant
available solar energy. PLTS is an environmentally friendly power plant because there
is no pollution resulting from the energy conversion process. This study discusses the
design of PLTS as a source of power supply for insect repellent on shallot plants using
qualitative and quantitative analysis methods. Planning this solar power plant requires
a total cost of Rp. 241,959,986.- and a load of 39.7 (kWh). It takes 18 modules with a
monocrystalline specification of 445 Wp, 3 units of a solar charge controller and an
inverter with SmartSolar MPPT 250/100 24V with a capacity of 2900 watts, and 22 x 2
batteries with a specification of 12 volts 100 Ah. KIJO JM12-100 Lead-acid.and 3
combiner boxes that can accommodate 6 modules. The investment feasibility analysis
shows an NPV of IDR 39,846,503, an IRR value of 16.4% and a BCR value of 1.16.
from the value of NPV, IRR and BCR shows a positive value. So this plan is feasible to
be realized with a payback period in the 16.5th year of the 20-year project life
