Abstract :
An electricity power system have to ensure the availability of an electricity power for every load, which are connected to the system. In fact there are a lot of interference in the electricity power system. One of them that mostly happens, is the interference of short circuit. If short circuit. To overcome this problem a secure system, that could work fast and accurate, is needed. In which consist of safety rail and circuit breaker equipment or known as circuit breaker to minimalize the effect of interference. The circuit breaker is a mechanical equipment, which could close or break the electricity circuit in either normal or abnormal condition. In this thesis will be discussed a capacity circuit breaker on bay IBT 70kV, in which gained through measuring the short circuit?s symmetrical and asymmetrical flow one phase and three phase to the ground and considered as a big interference and often happens. Based on the calculation of short circuit obtained the capacity of the calculated circuit breaker is 893.06306 MVA and the capacity of the installed circuit breaker is 3819,17203 MVA
