Abstract :
This paper describes and gives an overview about watermarking as a data hiding technique, and applications of watermarking in many fields for digital data, particularly an application of watermarking for copyright protection. This paper also addresses kinds of ideal watermarking system, problems in watermarking, as well as some of watermarking methods for various types of digital data, such as video, image, and audio. Copyrights to digital datas till now not yet have mechanism or way of efficient and reliable, because of existence of various badness of copyrights like forgery, duplication, pengurusakan and others. Some ways which have been done by people to overcome the problem of copyrights lable at digital data, for example: Hearder Marking, Visible Marking, Encryption, and Copy of Protection. As for intention of designed system among others is for security, avoiding piracy and duplication to digital image. Watermarking for the lable of copyrights represent technology to give and prove proprietary rights of digital image masterpiece. Especial target for this lable design a algorithm which can be used at all of digital image type to insert lable or information to digital image.
