Abstract :
Network Monitoring System (NMS) is a system that continues monitoring network contiditon, so if there is any trouble in the network can be solved quick and fast. Network Monitoring System (NMS) built to minimize workload of human. System that monitored are network devices like router and server. The human have phisycal weakness like need sleep and rest, so need some Network Monitoring System (NMS) that really help those weakness. Alert system using email or sound alert are still not much help, sms alert is one of the best solution that match the situation right now. To make a good Network Monitoring System (NMS) , we need an application that combine gui (graphic user interface) and text based application, the configuration was built by the gui application and the engine of the network monitoring was built by the text based application. The Network Monitoring System (NMS) beside monitored the network, also monitored the security of the network. So if there is any trouble with the security of the network can be handle quick and fast.
