Abstrak
Pengobatan tradisional telah lama dimanfaatkan dari bahan alami yang dihasilkan dari tumbuhan guna mengatasi
ganggguan macam penyakit. Takokak (Solanum torvum S), tanaman anggota famili Solanaceae, kurang dikenal
masyarakat akan kualitas antibakterinya. Maksud studi ini ialah guna mengungkap apakah simplisia daun takokak
memenuhi kriteria mutu yang dapat diterima dan apakah ekstrak dan fraksi daun takokak mempunyai efek
antibakteri pada bakteri Staphylococcus aureus. Maserasi dengan etanol 96% untuk ekstraksi, dilanjutkan dengan
fraksinasi menggunakanr n-heksan, etil asetat dan air. Perolehan data pengujian standarisasi pada daun takokak
menunjukkan bahwa daun tersebut memiliki standar mutu yang terstandar, dengan kadar ekstrak larut etanol
17,09%, kadar ekstrak larut air 14,60%, kadar air 8%, dan susut kering 8,76%. Dengan memanfaatkan metode
sumuran, ekstrak antibakteri dan fraksi daun takokak diuji dikonsentrasi 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 70, 80, 90, dan
100%. Aktivitas antibakteri ekstrak daun takokak 100% memiliki respon inhibisi kuat dengan nilai 17,53mm,
respon inhibisi sedang dengan nilai 8,22mm difraksi nheksan, respon inhibisi kuat dengan nilai 12,44mm difraksi
etil asetat, dan tidak ada respon inhibisi pada konsentrasi manapun pada difraksi air. Ekstrak dan Fraksi mempunyai
kemampuan antibakteri yang beragam pada setiap konsentrasi pada bakeri Staphylococcus aureus.

Abstract
Traditional medicine has long been used from natural ingredients produced from plants to treat various diseases.
Takokak (Solanum torvum S), a plant belonging to the Solanaceae family, which is not well known to the public
for its antibacterial qualities. The purpose of this study was to find out whether takokak leaf simplicia met
acceptable quality criteria and whether takokak leaf extract and fraction had an antibacterial effect on
Staphylococcus aureus bacteria. Maceration with 96% ethanol for extraction, followed by fractionation using nhexane, ethyl acetate and air. Acquired standardization test data on takokak leaves showed that the leaves had
standardized quality standards, with 17.09% ethanol-soluble extract content, 14.60% water-soluble extract
content, 8% water content, and 8.76% dry shrinkage. By utilizing the well method, the antibacterial extract and
fraction of takokak leaves were tested at concentrations of 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 70, 80, 90 and 100%. The
antibacterial activity of 100% takokak leaf extract has a strong inhibition response with a value of 17.53mm, a
moderate inhibition response with a nhexane diffraction value of 8.22mm, a strong inhibition response with a
value of 12.44mm for ethyl acetate diffraction, and no inhibition response at any concentration at diffraction air.
Extracts and fractions have various antibacterial abilities at each concentration on Staphylococcus aureus
bacteria.
