ABSTRACT
Rosa Novita Lome: 2020208005, The Lord's Prayer: A Dogmatic Theological Analysis and Its Implications for Liturgical Acts in the Protestant Church of Eastern Indonesia. (Supervised by Fajar Kelana, M.Th and Darius, M.Th).
Research This research examines the differences in the use of the Lord's Prayer in the liturgy of the East Indonesian Protestant Church (GPIT) compared to other church denominations. The aim is to find out the dogmatic theological meaning of the Lord's Prayer in GPIT and its implications for liturgical acts. Using Calvin's theory as a basis and qualitative methods, this research reveals that GPIT views prayer as communication with God and the breath of life of believers. GPIT does not include the Lord's Prayer to be said together in the general liturgy because its educational elements are already carried out in Sunday schools and catechism classes. Although the application is different, GPIT understands the Lord's Prayer as the perfect prayer taught by Jesus and is a model prayer. This research shows that differences in liturgical practices do not reduce GPIT's theological understanding of the meaning and importance of the Lord's Prayer.
Key words: Lord's Prayer, GPIT, liturgy, dogmatic theology.
