Abstract :
ABSTRAK Penelitian ini diangkat karena di lingkungan Pemuda Gereja Toraja Jemaat Buntu Payung masih memiliki gaya hidup konsumtif dalam menggunakan uang yang dimililiki. Berangkat dari hal tersebut penerapan teologi ugahari frugal living sangat relevan diterapkan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini ialah untuk menganalisis teologi Ugahari Frugal Living Terhadap Gaya Hidup Konsumtif Pemuda Gereja Toraja Jemaat Buntu Payung. Adapun metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini ialah metode kualitatif dalam mengumpulkan informasi dari informan melalui wawancara dan studi Pustaka. Hasil penelitian dalam tulisan ini adalah pemuda memiliki gaya hidup konsumtif dalam menggunakan uangnya dalam berbelanja. Adapun penyebab perilaku tersebut adalah mereka melihat apa yang dimiliki orang lain dan ingin memiliki barang tersebut. Selain itu mereka belum bisa mengelolah keuangan mereka dengan baik. Dengan demikian, maka dapat disimpulkan dalam penelitian ini bahwa penerapan ugahari Frugal Living sangat relevan untuk diterapkan bagi pemuda baik secara langsung maupun praktek melalui program-program yang dibuat oleh pengurus PPGT. Kata Kunci : Konsumtif, Frugal Living, Pemuda ABSTRACT This research is motivated by the fact that the youth of the Toraja Church Congregation in Buntu Payung still exhibit a consumptive lifestyle in their use of money. Given this context, the application of Ugahari Frugal Living theology is highly relevant. The aim of this study is to analyze the impact of Ugahari Frugal Living theology on the consumptive lifestyle of the youth of the Toraja Church Congregation in Buntu Payung. The method used in this research is qualitative, involving the collection of information from informants through interviews and literature review. The findings of this study indicate that the youth exhibit a consumptive lifestyle in their spending habits. The causes of this behavior include their tendency to desire what others possess and their inability to manage their finances effectively. Therefore, it can be concluded that the application of Ugahari Frugal Living is very relevant for the youth, both directly and through programs developed by the PPGT management.
